Piss and Vinegar

Things have been extremely busy the last couple of months. The racing world has found it’s self in our back seat. How is this possible at the Mecca of Speed, of all places? It’s not that we have stopped following motosports, we just haven’t added to the world of rumors and racing fodder.

The Champ Car/IRL soap opera is back on. After ten years of on again, off again talks, I don’t jump any more. From my point of view it’s a bunch of big kids that want to own the sandbox, not just play in it. When you are not in the “cool click” they don’t seem to really car about you, so why should they get my time anymore.

The one set of tires rule in Formula One showed how utterly stupid and dangerous it really is. If a driver is a danger to his competitors while behind the wheel he can be penalized or suspended. On Sunday we saw a major safety hazard that could of ended with injury or worse to a driver, but that’s ok because it’s with in the rules? I don’t want to hear about all the money Formula One invests in safety, it’s obvious they can’t buy common sense.

I’m short on sleep and full of piss and vinegar at the moment so lets cut this installment while we have the chance.

All Better

After cutting sleep for the days I got a solid seven hours last night. We are going to the Milwaukee Mile and the world is all better. The sun is out and Champ Cars are in town, life is good.
