Before becoming the Champ Car color man, Derek Daley was behind the wheel competing in Formula One, Sports Cars, and Champ Car. He won championships in Irish Formula Ford, British Formula 3 and won the 12 Hours of Sebring twice.

No fan of racing can deny Daley’s enthusiasm for the sport. During the 2006 Champ Car season, his commentary was filled with hooks and phrases, that for some was a little over the top.

The broadcast team for the 2007 Champ Car season is taking shape and it looks like Derek Daley will no longer be adding color to the broadcast.
